Leaving the Shore with Leftovers? Donate Them!
We have all been guilty of doing the food shopping before a week at the shore and going a little overboard. Maybe you leave some of your extra food for the next renters or maybe you bring some home, but now you can do some good with your leftover vacation food.
Two eight graders and two teachers from Ocean City Intermediate School launched a food drive encouraging Ocean City, New Jersey vacationers to donate their left over items in hopes to help their community.
So before you head back home make a pit stop at the Ocean City Intermediate School, 1801 Bay Avenue and drop off your extra non-perishables into the donation box. The donation box will be checked very frequently and any food will be split between the Community Food Banks in Ocean City and Egg Harbor Township.
