After receiving tons of entries, we’ve selected our Top 20 bands for the 2018 MGK House Band Competition. See who made the cut and when & where they’ll be performing.
WHAT THE MGK HOUSE BAND WINS
• $1000 in new gear,
• 2 days of recording at Cambridge Sound Studios
• Perform in front of thousands of MGK fans at events like Brew Blast & Big Bad Bonfire.
HOW IT WORKS
After the MGK staff conducts a listening session and scores all entries, the top 20 entries that score the highest make the semi-finals. The winner of each semifinal event will advance to the MGK House Band Finals on Thursday, August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
The winner of the MGK House Band Finals becomes the next official MGK House Band

All House Band events begin at 8pm.
July 19 – Dave and Busters Philly – Aftershock advances to the MGK House Band Finals on August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
July 26 – Manayunk Brewing Company – Hot Dog Cannon advances to the MGK House Band Finals on August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
August 2 – Chickies South Philly – Offline advances to the MGK House Band Finals on August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
August 9 – Maggie’s Waterfront Cafe NE Philly – Retro 45 advances to the MGK House Band Finals on August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
August 16 – Creekside Sports Bar and Grill – Middle Class advances to the MGK House Band Finals on August 23 at Chickies and Pete’s South Philly.
