Happy National Sugar Cookie Day!
It’s National Sugar Cookie Day. I love them but honestly, I’d rather just eat the dough. SOOO good. Just give me that pure butter and sugar and vanilla all Kitchen-Aided together and leave me alone with a spatula. I must admit that I DO love those Swedish tin sugar cookies that are everywhere at Christmas. You know the ones with the layers and layers of delicately sprinkled one bite morsels in their little paper ruffled nests? So now that I’ve sent us all spiraling into a sugar die-uh-bee-teez (as my grandmother would say) coma, let’s enjoy this little ditty from Jimmy Gilmer and The Fireballs. This was one of the first 45 records I ever owned and I think I still have it all scratched up somewhere.
