There he is..on the road again. Bob Seger is coming back!!!
Boy, is this town abuzz with the news that Bob Seger is no longer a “stranger in town.” It took awhile for him to add Philadelphia to his itinerary but now we have the distinction of being the last show on his final tour. I remember seeing Bob at a big outdoor venue (50,000 maybe?) in Orlando over 4th of July weekend back in 1978. The show was billed as the Super Bowl of Rock or something along those lines. Also on the bill: Bob Welch, Head East, Pablo Cruise, Foreigner and Toby Beau but I don’t remember any of THEIR performances….only Bob (and his flowing hair) and his Silver Bullet Band. WOW! No frills on that stage, no synchronized light show, no outfits, no posturing – just pure straight ahead pedal to the metal rock and roll. I’ll never forget the intensity of that show and how Bob had that ENTIRE stadium up on their feet screaming for more. This performance is from that same tour. Enjoy! (by the way, you can win tix on the JDB show again tomorrow AM and with me on Connect 3 at 10AM!)
