My Morning at the JDB Turkey Drop 2022
Today, my day started a little different than usual, but in a good way! Some would even say a giving way!
Usually, I save my grocery shopping for the weekends, but today I found myself at the ACME at 29 Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m., but to be honest, I was not shopping.
I was actually there collecting turkeys and monetary donations for my good friend John DeBella and Cityteam Philadelphia.
If you have not guessed by now, this morning, WMGK held the station’s annual John Debella Turkey Drop 2022, and my stop was a success yet again!
Myself, the JDB Show, and the rest of the on-air personalities were spread out throughout the greater Philly area collecting donations for Cityteam Philadelphia and trying to give everyone a holiday they can remember this year.
Cityteam Philadelphia is a great organization that provides meals to less fortunate individuals and families in our amazing city during the holidays.
I had a blast out there this morning with our fantastic representatives from the station’s sales department, Paige and Paula, as well as Fred from Cityteam!
I want to thank everyone who stopped by to donate in whatever way they possibly could, WMGK listener or not.
Thanks to all of your generosity, many people throughout our area will have a better holiday than they would have, and for that I am thankful!
I know at this time of year it starts to get cold and I am out there relatively early for most people, but regardless you guys showed up yet again with some great donations, so thank you!
For anyone else that could not make it out to any of the ACME locations this morning, do not worry.
Donations are still being accepted through Thanksgiving weekend, so check out our official page for more details, or consider an online monetary donation here!
