I still have a ways to go but so far I've watched the following flicks. Here's what I've watched & my thoughts on each.
Respond to the Facebook post I did on WMGK's Facebook page to let me know what great movies from 2017 that I'm missing out on.
GET OUT - wild satire framed in horror with societal commentary....didn't see all that coming!
THE FLORIDA PROJECT -- almost documentary like. Its bleakness is offset by the optimism and enthusiasm of childhood. The kids in this movie are amazing.
THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI -- Nobody is a saint in this movie about instinct and rage and lopsided redemption. Hard to watch at times but very compelling.
THE BIG SICK -- a pleasant rom-com
LADY BIRD -- an incredibly insightful coming of age tale. Extremely well written and acted and believable.
CALL ME BY YOUR NAME -- my favorite so far. The scenery, setting and cinematography are exquisite. Another (quite different) coming of age tale.
