Rod Stewart's New Tour!

One of my all-time favorite bands and musicians is hitting the road again this summer!

Rod Stewart recently announced a 17-stop tour in North America, which will kick off on July 29th in Sparks, Nevada.

Unfortunately, for everyone in the greater Philadelphia area such as you loyal WMGK listeners, the closest the tour is coming to Philly is a stop in Pittsburgh, PA on August 26th.

What the heck!

That is a huge bummer!

But Pittsburgh is a beautiful city for anyone eager to make the trip to see the tour!

One thing I am looking forward to seeing when the tour starts is how he honors his late friend, the great Jeff Beck.

Beck tragically passed away earlier this year on January 10th at 78 years old.

It was definitely a sad day in the rock music world.

Speaking of Jeff Beck, may I suggest watching the documentary on Showtime titled, Jeff Beck: Still on the Run!

It is an amazing documentary!

It has cameos from a ton of rock legends offering their insight on Beck.

Some of those cameos include David Gilman, Slash, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Ron Wood.

Those are some all-timers right there, talking about who many consider THE all-timer in Beck!

It really is a great doc!

It focuses on when The Jeff Beck Group first came to the United States of America back in 1968 in New York City!

A funny story is mentioned about how Rod Stewart was so incredibly nervous that he sang behind the biggest amp on the stage!

Absolutely hilarious!

It is crazy looking back on that now as Rod is about to headline a tour for the umpteenth time and sing in front of thousands of people across North America!

If anyone ends up going to the tour have fun, and let me know what you think of the documentary if you watch it!
