One of the great musical acts from right here in Philadelphia made their return to releasing new music for the first time in over a decade and I could not be any more stoked!
Yes, that’s right, there is a brand new Hooters record that was released last Friday, May 12th!
The album is titled, “Rocking & Swinging,” and it is incredible!
It is the band’s first studio record since 2010!
Think back to that time just to realize how long it has been since they shared a new album with the world.
Michael Vick was the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies were well on their way to another first-place finish in the NL East, the Sixers were still being led by Andre Iguodala and Elton Brand, and the most shocking of them all, the Flyers were in the Stanley Cup!
Not that there’s anything wrong with Kesha, but needless to say, I am sure happy we finally have some new Hooters instead!
Especially since the new album is a return to their early ska and reggae roots.
This album has been one I’ve been excited to let you all know about for a little while, so I’m excited it has officially been released to the public.
A few weeks back, I along with some of my radio friends got invited to an early listening session at the Hooters’ recording studio in Conshohocken for an early sneak peek of the new album!
It was amazing!
Pierre Robert, Preston Elliot from The Preston and Steve Show, John DeBella, and Bill Weston, to name a few, were all there jamming out to the new record!
Plus, I got to see my buddy, Larry Magid, who is one of the most legendary concert promoters ever!
Larry has sold more tickets and brought more people together in shared experiences of live performances than just about anyone!
He is a Philadelphia institution!
It was also good to see David’s wife Dallyn who does a lot of PR work for the band!
By the way, you can catch the Hooters on the “I Want My 80s” tour with Rick Springfield and Paul Young, and Tommy Tutone for select dates!
They will be at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City on August 12th!
So be sure to go listen to the new album and catch it live at the end of the summer!
“Rocking & Swinging” is out now!

Behind The Scenes Working The Taylor Swift Philadelphia Concert
What a Show!
Over the weekend, a few concerts took place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday down at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philly.
It was a tiny artist that not too many people know about, and there definitely were not close to 100,000 people in and outside the stadium enjoying each show.
And by that, I mean the BIGGEST artist in the world currently and there were absolutely that many people surrounding the Linc and in their seats enjoying the show!
Yes, Taylor Swift was in town over the weekend and it was quite the spectacle!
I was actually in attendance for the show on Saturday night with my niece, Lily!
She is actually a part of the event staff for all of the Eagles games and also works a few select concerts taking place at the Linc!
And you know she was not going to miss Taylor!
I got to walk in the tunnel with her and clock in and then it was right to her post at the Pepsi Plaza!
Lily was super helpful to all the concertgoers assisting plenty of Swifties to their seats and giving them guidance throughout the stadium!
The event itself was incredible!
I got to see the merch first hand that people were lining up by the hundreds for on Thursday — a full day and a half before any of the shows even started!
Taylor put on an amazing show for all the people that were fortunate enough to be in the building and even thousands more outside who just wanted to hear their favorite artist sing.
If you haven’t seen the videos by now, thousands upon thousands of Taylor Swift die-hard fans surrounded the stadium singing their favorite songs and enjoying the show from outside!
I have never seen anything like that in all my years in the music industry!
Overall, I had an amazing time with Lily and I’m glad she got to work one of the shows!

Top 11 Moments From Sixers vs. Celtics Game 6 in Philadelphia
Last night down at the Wells Fargo Center may have not been the outcome the city of Philadelphia was hoping for in the end, but it was still a very entertaining night nonetheless.
The 76ers fell to the Boston Celtics by a score of 95-86 after a long battle where they fell just short.
The team battled back from an early deficit after struggling for the first five minutes of the game, and then they remained in control for the majority of the game… until the last five minutes.
That is when things fell apart and the Celtics made the score out of reach.
Now things are all tied up in the series as it heads back to Boston for a Mother’s Day showdown in game 7.
Hopefully, last night was not my last game as public address announcer for the season!
But if it was – which I don’t believe it will be – it was another fun one, for sure!
The stars were out last night, including an All-Pro center for the Philadelphia Eagles and his little brother who happened to beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
Yes, Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce were in the building enjoying all the pregame festivities and the game itself before it took a turn for the worst!
ESPN was also in the building for the national broadcast, so Brian Windhorst, one of their major reporters, was in the house doing some pregame updates.
The mother of one of the greatest Sixers players of all time was also down at The Center, Ann Iverson!
Happy early Mother’s Day!
Plus, we had a very special bell ringer last night!
Philly’s own, Questlove, the drummer for the legendary group, The Roots, was announced to a loud ovation from the sold-out crowd!
And obviously, I can’t forget the players!
I was able to catch a little bit of Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris warming up, and the unexpected star of game 5, Danuel House, doing his pregame routine.
But the biggest star in the house – at least to me – was my girl Kees!
She is one of the photographers for the team and she does an amazing job!
Follow her on Instagram (@kees2life) to see her work – it is worth it!
Obviously, I think it is safe to assume everyone I mentioned would have preferred to leave the building with a win last night, but the series is not over yet!
Everything we wanted out of this season from the Sixers is still right there in front of us!
We just need the team to go take it!
Go Sixers!

The Philadelphia 76ers Won Game 5 and I Hosted at Xfinity Live
Last night, the Philadelphia 76ers came up with a huge win on the road against the Boston Celtics by a final score of 115-103.
It was a pivotal game 5 in enemy territory and a game that has evaded the Sixers for many years.
In fact, prior to last night, the team had lost each game 5 in their previous six trips to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, including last year to the Miami Heat and the year before to the Atlanta Hawks.
That game was so important because when a series is tied 2-2, the winner of game 5 goes on to win the series 82 percent of the time.
Now, that does not mean it is a sure thing, but the odds are now on our side!
The 76ers were led in scoring by their MVP center, Joel Embiid, who checked in with 33 points.
Tyrese Maxey was not far behind as the young guard finally put his struggles against the Celtics to rest, netting 30 points of his own.
James Harden and Tobias Harris also came to play with 17 points and 16 points, respectively.
But the biggest surprise of the night came from Danuel House, who came up clutch with 10 points of his own.
That number might not jump off the page to anyone in comparison to the other guys, but for a guy who has only played sparingly in the playoffs to be thrust into the rotation and answer the call, those 10 points were huge!
This game might be remembered as the Danuel House game when it is all said and done!
Funnily enough, at the beginning of the year, he made it a point to let me know how to correctly pronounce his name — Dan-U-ell House.
The ‘U’ is strong, not to be confused with Daniel.
The crowd at Xfinity Live was loving every moment of that game as the Sixers held the lead throughout.
If you don’t know, I have been hosting every road game during the playoffs there and will for the remainder of the postseason!
Each game gets more and more packed, so I am pumped for the next one!
But hopefully, it is not until the Eastern Conference Finals and the Sixers close out this series at home on Thursday!
Let’s go Sixers!
