Attending The Grand Opening of the New Eddie V’s in Cherry Hill
Last week, Pattyann and I attended the grand opening of a new location of one of the better restaurants around – and trust me, you will want to hit this place up if you are in the area because my meal was top-notch.
Eddie V’s opened a brand new restaurant in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and the official opening was an event that I was glad to be a part of and enjoyed very much. They even had ice sculptures and a backdrop to take a photo in front of and all!
Not only was the grand opening nice to attend by itself, but the company we had for our dinner was even better!
Pattyann and I ate with two former legends of the Philadelphia Flyers, Joe Watson and Bob Kelly.
The duo were both a part of the 1973-1974 and 1974-1975 Stanley Cup Champion Flyers teams!
Unfortunately, as we all know, the Flyers have not won a cup since those days, but that might make it that much cooler that I got to enjoy a great meal with the both of them.
By the way, Joe Watson turns 80 years old on July 6th, and he is still in the best shape of his life! He actually rides his Peloton every day!
Hey, Danny Briere, give that guy a call, and let’s get another Cup! Better yet, two in a row again!
Joe has actually been friends with the crew at Eddie V’s in King of Prussia for years, so he brought Pattyann and me to this great new spot.
The new location actually used to be a Lux Cafe at the Cherry Hill Mall, but you would never know it because the place was completely gutted and turned into this new state-of-the-art restaurant.
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention, they made the best bone-in ribeye I have ever had!
So, if you find yourself in the area, make that your destination for a meal!
Thanks for the invite, Joe!

Visiting the C&D Canal Bike Trail is a Must Do This Summer
As we all know, Sunday was Father’s Day and I am sure a lot of you guys all got together with your dads and maybe barbecued, enjoyed a nice cold adult beverage or two, and maybe even enjoyed the final round of this year’s U.S. Open, but I did something a little different!
I actually went on a really fun 30-mile bike ride with the girlfriend, my good friend Chris Bozzi, and his 85-year-old dad, Nick!
Can you believe it?
Going on a 30-mile bike ride at the age of 85 years old? It was incredible!
We drove down to Delaware City and rode a beautiful trail called the C&D Canal Bike Trail.
It really is just a gorgeous bike trail that rides along the Delaware Canal and even stretches over multiple states as it starts in Delaware City, Delaware, and ends in Chesapeake City, Maryland.
In total, it stretches 30 miles from one end to the other and back again, and that seems like a lot when you say it out loud, but the trail is so scenic you almost lose track of time and the distance you are going to begin with, to be honest.
Plus, the best part about the trail, especially if you work up an appetite on your ride or walk, is that there is a nice restaurant and bar at the halfway point called Schaefer’s Restaurant & Canal Bar, and you better believe we stopped there for a great lunch on our ride!
The trail was great, the lunch was even better, and you could not have asked for better weather on Sunday, so ultimately it was a great day – so much so that I figured I would share a bunch of photos and a video for you all to enjoy as well!
Take a look at them below!
