Week 11 Pigskin Picks
Week 10, once again 2-1 in my picks. The Eagles bit me. It was gross. It was ugly. Let’s see if we can keep the positive record rolling, and maybe we can get to the elusive 3-0. Last week’s record 2-1. Overall record 8-4.
Game of the Week – Kansas City @ Los Angeles Chargers (KC -4½)
This line keeps dropping which is solidifying my Pick here. Andy and his Chiefs are rolling. Another year, another top tier Andy Reid team. Last week the took control of the AFC’s #1 seed after the Bills lost 2 in a row. They head to LA to face a good Chargers team, but that stadium could see a lot of red and yellow throughout because it’s still L.A. No Juju Smith Schuster? No problem. Newest Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney seems to have adjusted just fine. LA’s offense looks like it’ll get some help back this week at the WR spot, I’m just not sure they can keep up with Kansas City.
PICK: Chiefs cover 4 ½.
Lock of the Week – Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons (ATL -3)
The Bears have unlocked Justin Fields in the last month, and he is the most fun QB to watch right now. He heads to Atlanta, where one of the most boring QBs to watch plays. Atlanta being a 3-point home favorite basically means Vegas doesn’t trust either team. I trust Justin Fields, and it’s not because he’s the QB on my fantasy team. Expect Fields to gash Atlanta on the ground and in the air.
PICK: Bears cover the 3 on the road, and they most likely win outright.
Eagles – Eagles @ Colts (PHL -7)
There is a 6’6” 335lb gap in the middle of the Eagles defense. It’s shown the last 2 games as the Texans and the Commanders ran the ball down the defenses throat. This week is a much scarier task as Jonathan Taylor looks to build off of a 147 yards game last week. The Eagles obviously know this because they went and picked up 328lb D-lineman Linval Joseph and 307lbs Ndomakong Suh. Do they have anything left in the tank? Who knows, but this is more of a rotational thing. If you’ve got enough good players to rotate in everyone stays fresh. Might as well take the bubble wrap off Rookie LB Nakobe Dean and get him out there as an extra LB to help try to bottle up Taylor. An embarrassed Eagles team SHOULD come out and throttle this Colts team. They SHOULD, but I think Indy slows the game down just like Washington and run, run, run, keeping the Eagles offense sidelined making for a more uncomfortable game than we would all like.
PICK: Eagles win, but Colts cover the 7.
