Pigskin Picks Week 12 – Thanksgiving Edition
Happy Thanksgiving! This starts what I think is the best month and a half stretch each year. Food, family, football, drinking. I mean come on! It’s a special T-Day edition of Pigskin Picks. With Thanksgiving tomorrow (or today depending on when you’re reading this) my hand is being forced into picking specific games. I’m not feeling great about these picks so my positive streak may come to an end. 2-1 is becoming a thing. I mean it’s better than 1-2, the dreaded 0-3 or possibly this week, 0-4! Pigskin Picks brought to you by the all-new Bet Parx Casino & Sportsbook App. New users get your first bet risk free up to $750. Go to Bet Parx.com. Must be 21. Gambling problem, call 1800 Gambler.
Last week record: 2-1. Overall Record: 10-5
Game 1 – Buffalo @ Detroit (BUF -9.5)
Ford Field should feel like a home game for the Buffalo Bills after they had to play there on Sunday due to 6 feet of snow back home. No reason for a long explanation. Detroit is riding on a 3-game win streak. That ends tomorrow in a big way. Bills cover 9 ½.
Pick – Bills
Game 2 – Giants @ Cowboys (DAL -9.5)
The Giants have been exposed as the frauds they are. Lost 2 of their last 3, and the win in between wasn’t very pretty against the lowly Houston Texans. Dallas at home, feeling good makes it 2 blowout wins in a row. Cowboys cover the 9 ½.
Pick – Cowboys
Game 3 – Patriots @ Vikings (MIN -2.5)
It took a last second punt return to get the Pats their only touchdown of the game in Sunday’s win because their offense stinks. Vikings are pissed after getting their doors blown off at home on Sunday. 2 ½ is a short number, but I think Minnesota is better than the line is hinting towards. Vikings covers the 2 ½.
Pick – Vikings
Eagles – Packers @ Eagles (PHL -7)
2 teams going in opposite directions. Maybe the after effects of the ayahuasca on the brain are playing a roll in how Aaron Rodgers has played this season, or maybe Devonte Adams leaving Green Bay was a bigger deal than they wanted to admit. I think the eagles figured out their run issues and that hurts the Packers if they did. Eagles get things rolling again Sunday night wearing all black uniforms and helmets for the first time. Birds cover the 7.
Pick – Eagles
Go Birds!
