So there must be something when I have to pick more than 3 games that just turns me into a mess and make terrible picks. 3 picks and it’s a 2-1 lock (for the most part), anything more and it’s at most 1 win. We got back on track last weekend, while also getting to see some pretty good football. It’s nice when you get to watch your team absolutely crush a division opponent in the playoffs. Let’s get some wins and a Birds Super Bowl game. Pigskin Picks brought to you by – the all-new Bet Parx Casino & Sportsbook App. New users get your first bet risk free up to $750. Go to Bet Parx.com. LAST WEEK RECORD: 2-1. OVERALL RECORD: 22-20
AFC Championship – Sunday 6:30pm
Bengals @ Chiefs (KC -1)
This line has bounced from KC to Cincy to bigger Cincy back to KC and by Sunday evening it could be Cincy again. This game is a pick ‘em. Cincinnati is coming in cocky and confident and Kansas City is hoping their offensive weapons still have the same affect if Patrick Mahomes is stuck in the pocket. They probably do, but there is something about this Cincinnati team that keeps pulling me in their direction. It’s probably Joe Burrow and the fact that he is 3-0 against Mahomes and the Chiefs. That dude is so smooth, it almost looks like he doesn’t care. I’ll take Cincinnati going to back-to-back Super Bowls.
PICK – Cincinnati
NFC Championship – Sunday 3pm
49ers @ Eagles (Eagles -2 ½)
The 49ers are coming in hot. Brock Purdy was the last pick in the draft. Mr. Irrelevant no longer. They’ve won 12 straight games, seems a pretty incredible feat, but of those 12 straight wins 3 of them had winning records. The Chargers, Dolphins and last week’s Cowboys win. This game feature the top 2 defenses in the NFL, so naturally the game should stay close as Vegas believes with this number. I just think the Eagles are the better team overall and have a better ability to stop the 9ers weapons than San Fran does to the Eagles. Eagles just hit you from every angle on offense. I think the Birds defense continues its torrid sack pace and Purdy likes to hold the ball to make a play. This leads to a bunch of sacks, and a pick. A rookie QB has never won in the NFC championship and at the Linc vs a top 2 offense and defense isn’t the place to change that stat. Eagles cover the 2 ½.
PICK – Eagles
