Masters week is great. Betting Masters week makes it even better. I look forward to this golf tournament all year. It marks spring for me. More than the NCAA tournament does. When it's Monday at the Masters I know it's spring and before we know it we'll be heading down the shore, grilling, day drinking outside. Man, that'll get you going! I'll be locked in Thursday-Sunday and plan on placing a few bets to make things a bit more interesting. Nothing big, but a little skin in the game for such a great event.

To Win

Brooks Koepka - $10 pays $200

Currently the best overall major player in golf. Something about Koepka and majors just click. He's won 5 majors so far in his career. Last year Koepka had the 54 hole lead, until Jon Rahm's Sunday charge to overtake him. I'm not a fan of the LIV guys, except Brooks. I understand why they left, but I think its hurt golf more than it has helped. If I'm ever going to bet one of them it's going to be Brooks Koepka. It's always going to be him in majors.

Xander Schauffele - $10 pays $140

Schauffele has been playing really well lately. Constantly in the mix, but hasn't been able to close the door on a win. He's playing confidently, and heading into Augusta you're going to want that. So far in 2024 he's played in 8 tournaments and finished top 10 in six of them. The question is can he finally pull off a full four rounds? Schauffele is playing well enough to take a small risk on him.

End of Round 1 Top 10

Brooks Koepka - $10 pays $28

See what I wrote about Brooks up top. If he plays like he usually does in majors then this should be an easy $28 (or more depending on your bet.) A good jumping off point for day two, three and four betting.

Good luck! Enjoy the tournament, a tradition unlike any other.
