Welcome to a hungover Friday. Are you still full? What’s your go to Thanksgiving leftover? Mine is my cheesy spinach I make for holidays. Yesterday was a great day with family, but it came with an end to the 4 week hot streak. 1-2 on the Thanksgiving Day games in the massive Pigskin Picks NFL Week 12 picks. I say massive today we’ve got another game to pick + 3 more for Sunday’s slate. It’s like a big “but wait their’s more,” infomercial. Four more picks today totaling seven for week 12. Fingers crossed for a big 3-1 or 4-0 weekend. As always Pigskin Picks is brought to you by Parx Casino and Sportsbook – this is how you win – must be 21 – gambling problem call 1-800-gambler.
Thanksgiving Games Record: 1-2. Overall Record: 22-14
Black Friday Game: Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets MIA -7.5
The NFL’s first Black Friday game was supposed to feature the ridiculous Miami offense vs. Aaron Rodgers and the playoff bound Jets, but the football gods said no. Instead we get one half of that matchup. Miami’s offense is electric, but only against bad teams. The Jets are a bad team and are planning on starting 3rd string QB Tim Boyle. They have a good defense, but it’s going to be ugly for the Jet’s offense. Give me Miami and the 7.5.
PICK – Dolphins
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals PIT -1
An AFC North slugfest this is not… The Steelers offense stinks, the Bengals offense is being led by a backup QB. This one feels like it’s going to be low scoring and ugly. Mike Tomlin somehow has the Steelers at 6-4 with just an atrocious offense. I’ll take the Steelers to win, but only because Kenny Picket is a better QB (not saying much) than the Bengals backup.
PICK – Steelers
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings MIN -3.5
Josh Dobbs might be the best story in football right now. He was traded by the Browns to the Cardinals in the preseason. Named the starter for an Arizona team that pretty much planned to suck, but he played well enough that a team that fighting for the playoffs decided to trade for him when they’re starter went down. He’s now won two out of three games for the Vikings. This Bears run defense is very good, but the pass defense is not. Expect Dobbs to pick up another win for Minnesota this weekend. Especially if Justin Jefferson returns in this game. Vikings cover the 3.5 at home on MNF.
PICK – Vikings
Buffalo Bills @ Philadelphia Eagles PHI -3.5
This team find ways to win. They might not always cover, but when they’re an underdog they’re a damn good bet. Buffalo comes into Philly with a secondary that has been crushed by injuries. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and the Bills offense still poses a threat in this game especially if he’s given time in the pocket. Allen is extremely susceptible to turning the ball over multiple times a game. The Eagles defensive line is rounding into form and picking up timely pressures and sacks. More of the same on Sunday afternoon. There’s always the chance Buffalo keeps it tighter than needed, but Eagles train rolls on.
PICK – Eagles
