Update: NFL Network Analyst David Carr Still A Bozo
Confirmed. Former NFL Quarterback and current NFL Network Analyst David Carr is a bozo. A boob if you will. Let’s revisit what he said about Jalen Hurts that started this whole thing. In case you missed the beginning of this idiotic take.
"I'd say he's probably better at playing quarterback for the Philadelphia @Eagles, right now he'd be more productive."@DCarr8 emphasizes Marcus Mariota should be the QB1 over Jalen Hurts. 😳 pic.twitter.com/rGgp6WZjIG

Fine, if you want to drop a hot take you can. That’s what they pay you to do. It’s a stupid take, but whatever. After people started talking, and obviously people were talking, the same show gave him a chance to clarify his statement. He did not. He took a backhoe and began digging his trench for the fight to come.
Everyone take a breath 🧘& let our guy @DCarr8 provide clarity regarding his comments on Hurts & Mariota https://t.co/h11Bic3HeK pic.twitter.com/0VpuYCvc5H

So now that his trench has been dug, he’s created an enemy and poked them in the eye. He’s gotten his name out there, for all of Philadelphia to know, in case they forgot who he was. He has adorned his battle gear is, and is ready for the fight.
He’s so ready for the fight that he is blind to the fact that the Eagles team lost Sunday night to Dallas for multiple factors. The least of which was Jalen Hurts. His tweet at 11:32 on Sunday nigth provoking an already pissed off fanbase is just pouring gas on the fire. Here is his tweet from Sunday night.
Hey Philly, y’all want to talk about it?

I would like to talk about it David, but the only part we’ll talk about regarding Jalen Hurts is his fumble on the first drive of the game. Jalen Hurts cannot tackle the opposing team. He can’t cover their wide receivers. He can’t force a stop on 3rd down. Is he supposed to run down the field after he throws a gem to A.J. Brown and be there to close his hands around the ball? Should he also have been there to make sure Brown didn’t fumble. I feel like a broken record, but is Jalen Hurts supposed to keep DeVonta Smith from fumbling at the 13 yard line?
A lop-sided game like this makes it look like he was right about starting Marcus Mariota over Jalen Hurts until he’s healthy. This is for the rest of the audience who were casual watchers of this game. Jalen Hurts looks fine out there. When it was Hurts vs. Kansas City and he was more statuesque with his knee injury, Carr’s statement holds water.
Time to head on out David. There is only room for one 5 team former backup quarterback turned NFL talking head around these parts and his name is Dan Orlovsky! All hail the film king! This is officially an anti-David Carr page and station. Let it be known. Shout it from on high.
